This is a nantese carrot from Chioggia, near Venice. Heartless, tender and crunchy root. Rich in Vitamin C which is essential for healthy eyes and skin. A very good flavoursome carrot, reliable to grow. Sow outside - March to July (when the air temperature is above 5°C) Sow - Thinly direct into soil in lines 1cm deep. Thin plants to 5-10cm apart May to August. If sown thinly in the first place, you can usually avoid the need for thinning.
